  • Nurses for Newborns To enroll, call 1-800-45-BIRTH or 314-544-3433.  Nurses for Newborns provides free services to pregnant women of all ages and families with new babies. Services include nurse and community health educator home-visits to help pregnant women and families with new babies best care for themselves and their children. 

    Kornerstone, Inc. For more information or to enroll call 866-858-2887.  Kornerstone offers community-based doula and advocacy services for pregnant teens who live in Barry County.  They provide transportation to doctor's visits, WIC services, social services, and other needed transportation related to the pregnancy.   They do monthly personal visits with the mother during the prenatal period and weekly visits for mom and baby during the first six months of the postpartum period.

    SLVRP matches pregnant/parenting young women with trained adult volunteer mentors to offer emotional support and parenting guidance both during and after pregnancy. It aims to meet goals of healthy babies and mothers, reduction of parental stress, and increased self-sufficiency through volunteer community mentors, parenting support and education, and referrals to community resources for pregnant and parenting teens.

    Children’s Haven of Southwest Missouri, Joplin 417.782.4453 or 866-594.2836  Offers Crisis Nursery Services.  Children’s Haven provides physical and emotional refuge for children whose families are experiencing a crisis.  Services are provided 24 hours a day/seven days a week and are available free of charge to any family in southwest Missouri.  In addition to providing temporary crisis care to children and youth in a safe setting, parents are provided information on community resources to help them resolve their crisis.

    The Parenting Network offers services to Jefferson County residents.  TPN provides parents with the knowledge and support they need to be a nurturing parent and to successfully prepare their children for entering school.

    Incredible Years Parenting Program (A Great Circle Service to Adair County) Offers parenting classes to parents of children ages 3-12.

    Dexter Community Regional Healthcare Foundation’s Mother to Mother 573-624-1607 Provides parenting mentoring for young mothers in Southeast Missouri.

    Whole Kids Outreach 800-760-3259 Offers parent mentoring and nurse home visitors for pregnant women and mothers with young children in Southeast Missouri counties of  Butler, Carter, Iron, Reynolds, Shannon and Wayne.

    YWCA of St. Joseph JUMP for pregnant & parenting teens program offers mentoring, group education, and home visiting for pregnant and parenting teen.

    Missouri Bootheel Regional Consortium 888 317-4949 works with pregnant women and mothers with young children to gain access to healthcare and other community services. Also offers Healthy Baby/Parenting classes.  Serves the following counties: Dunkin, Mississippi, New Madrid, Pemiscot, Scott.

    Teen Pregnancy Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis 314-454-8259 provides comprehensive medical care, education and developmental life skills to pregnant teens.

    Youth in Need’s Teen Parent Program 636-757-9404 or 636-757-9407. The Teen Parent Program provides individual and group support to teen parents and pregnant teens that live in St. Charles County. The program offers counseling, case management, education and advocacy to its participants.

    The Doula Foundation in Springfield, MO offers childbirth education classes, prenatal yoga, support during childbirth, breastfeeding support, and parent-child classes.  For questions, call 417-832-9222.

    La Leche League offers breastfeeding support groups around Missouri.

    Washington County Community Partnership  (573) 438-8555   Offers many resources, including a free 6 week parenting classes open to all, Christmas for Kids,  Free Parenting Classes, Back-to-School Fair, Smoking Cessation classes, ShowMe Healthy Women.

  • Missouri GSA Network 314-282-5028 is a statewide youth leadership organization that connects school-based GSAs (Gay-Straight Alliances or Gender-Spectra Alliances) to each other and community resources through peer support, leadership development, and training.  Missouri GSa Network empowers young people in starting, strengthening, adn sustainings GSAs and builds the capacity of GSAs to uch against homophobia and transphobia in Missouri Schools.

    Growing American Youth
     314-669-5428 is a social support organization for youth who live near St. Louis and who are 21 and under may identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, asexual or questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity

    PFLAG  is a non-profit support organization for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendered individuals and their families.  PFLAG offers monthly meetings and other resources.  Locate the PFLAG nearest you.

    TransParent provides supoport, information, and resoruces to help parents confidently navigate their gender independt child's personal journey of self-discovery to authentic living.  TransParent offers monthly meetings and seasonal events. 

    PROMO is Missouri's statewide organization advocating for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender equality through legislative action, electoral politics, grassroots organizing, and community education.

  • C.H.A.R.T. Teen Task Force offers a free Sexuality Education program to schools, classes, or other venues in the following counties: Clark, Lewis, Marion, Monroe, Pike, Ralls, Shelby

    Safe Connections offers a relationship violence prevention program (Project HART), Guys Group, and Girls Group to groups of teens in and around St. Louis (can be in school or through community organizations). 

    Washington County Community Partnership 573-438-8555 offers two evidence-based programs for teens. For teens ages 13-18, these programs are designed to assist teens in becoming educated and aware of birth control, abstinence and the effects of becoming sexually active at a young age.  These two classes can help reduce teen pregnancy and the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.
