Compassion Fatigue and Self Care

In the media, self-care is portrayed as having a bubble bath or taking a day off work. For most of us, there is no bubble bath that will fix the emotional stress that we find ourselves under on a daily basis. Almost everyone has been affected by the stress of the pandemic, and especially those who support others as their livelihood.
Participants in this training will talk about compassion fatigue, how it impacts their lives, and what it can mean for the people around them. Participants will also learn to spot the signs of impending compassion fatigue in their own lives and craft a long term self-care plan to reduce stress and avoid burnout.
